Bucs’ Williams leaves with left knee injury

An unfortunate injury update out of Tampa, where Bucs RB Cadillac Williams has left the game with what appears to be a serious left knee injury.

Williams was injured midway through the fourth quarter when his leg buckled underneath him at the end of a 28-yard run. He was clearly in pain as trainers checked his left leg, and had to be helped off the field to the sidelines, where he was visibly upset as he sat on the bench. After several minutes, Williams was helped off the sidelines by two trainers, and was unable to put any weight on the leg.

The Bucs announced he will not return.

Williams missed more than a year after tearing the patellar tendon in his right knee last Sept., returning to see his first action in Week 12 this season.
