A last hurrah

The Seahawks are out of the playoff hunt, but fans still packed the stands at Qwest Field Sunday. They braved blowing snow and freezing temperatures to say goodbye to Mike Holmgren, who coached his final home game.

The Seattle TimesJosé Miguel Romero writes that Holmgren took a victory lap after the Seahawks’ 13-3 win over the Jets to wave goodbye to the crowd that’s supported him for the last 10 years:

    Fans chanted “Holm-gren, Holm-gren,” as he started the walk, ending a happy afternoon by thanking the man who led the Seahawks to five division titles, six playoff berths and a Super Bowl appearance. More
