A nugget from Tampa, where Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson has topped 1,000 yards this season to become just the third rusher in NFL history to pass the mark in each of his first eight seasons. He joins Curtis Martin, who did it with the Patriots and the Jets in each of his first 10 seasons from 1995 to 2004, and Barry Sanders, who reached the mark in each of his 10 NFL seasons with the Lions from 1989 to 1998.
In Cleveland, Browns RB Jamal Lewis became the 24th player in NFL history to top 10,000 career rushing yards. Lewis is the fifth active player on the list, behind Edgerrin James (13th), Tomlinson (14), Fred Taylor (19) and Warrick Dunn (19).
