Gore out for second straight week

49ers running back Frank Gore will not play due to his sprained ankle for the second straight week.
Gore missed last Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins and he will miss today’s game against the St. Louis Rams. But Gore is not expected to miss three games in a row, as he is expected back for the regular-season finale next Sunday against Washington.
He is 22 rushing yards short of his third consecutive 1,000-yard season, and he wants to hit that plateau as well as help his team win.
