Garcia done for the day, but Bucs not eliminated

It looks like the end of the day for Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jeff Garcia. The Bucs are trailing 41-24 late during the fourth quarter, and a bloodied Garcia is heading to the locker room early. Garcia has a sizeable gash on the bridge of his nose from a hit he took while scrambling earlier in the quarter. Luke McCown is in at quarterback for the Bucs.
Even with today’s loss, the Bucs aren’t eliminated from the playoffs. The Falcons and Eagles also can’t be eliminated, given the loss by the Bucs. The Bears would be eliminated with a loss to the Packers on Monday, as would the Redskins, who also are out if the Falcons win.
The Falcons, of course, control their own destiny and would secure a wild-card spot with a win over the Vikings, which would leave the aforementioned teams — Bucs, Eagles, Bears (pending Week 16 results) and the Cowboys — playing for the final spot in the NFC.
