Brees will be a fantasy star in Week 17

Drew Brees threw for 351 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-7 win over the Lions in Week 16.
He is now just 402 yards short of breaking Dan Marino‘s single-season record of 5,084. The Saints are out of postseason contention, so look for Brees to throw the ball 40-plus times against the Panthers next week. If your fantasy league runs until the end of the regular season, Brees will have a chance to put up enormous numbers against the Panthers.
I’ll be visiting the set of The NFL Today next week to see my old friends at CBS. In what could be a weird twist of fate, I might see another Marino record fall with Dan close at hand — I was also on the set when Peyton Manning broke his record for touchdown passes in a single season back in 2004.
