Manning has memorable performance

Colts QB Peyton Manning had arguably his best game of the season in Thursday’s win over the Jaguars. Not only did Manning lead the Colts back from an early 14-point deficit, he did it in dominant fashion, passing for a season-high 364 yards and three touchdowns (highlights) while also completing a single-game career high 17 consecutive passes. It ties the Colts’ franchise record for most consecutive completions in a single game (Bert Jones vs Jets, 1974), and when combined with his final six completions from Week 15, his 23 consecutive completions is the second-most in NFL history behind Donovan McNabb’s 24 during the 2004 season.
“We thought we had some chances to throw the ball,” Manning told NFL Network’s Adam Schefter after the game. “They’re very good against the run, so we thought the passing game was the way to go. Somewhere during the second half, it felt like we were pretty hot. It was good to keep that going. The main thing, though, was that we got the win.”
Overall, Manning completed 29 of 34 passes, and notched his 52nd career three-touchdown game.
