When defensive end Jason Taylor was traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Washington Redskins during the offseason, he left behind a team that won just one game in 2007 and joined one that he believed had a shot at a Super Bowl, or at least the playoffs. Fast forward four months. His new team is all but out of playoff contention, while the Dolphins, at 9-5 heading into Week 16, could win the AFC East.
South Florida Sun-Sentinel columnist Dave Hyde writes that Taylor has no regrets about how the season has unfolded.
- “You can never look back,” Taylor said. He then mentioned the issue that changed everything for the Dolphins, the one that came after he was traded. “I don’t think anybody knew when Brett Favre wanted out of Green Bay that Chad Pennington would come here,” he said. MORE
