Three touchdowns for Cassel

Despite a terrible matchup on paper against the Raiders, Matt Cassel is playing inspired football in the wake of his father’s death.

He’s already thrown for 134 yards and three touchdowns with over 12 minutes left in the first half, connecting on scores of 7, 20 and 13 yards.

The game has the same sort of feel as a certain Monday night contest back in 2003, when Brett Favre threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns in the same week he lost his father.

That game was also played in Oakland.
