Garcia out, Griese gets the call for Bucs

NFL.com’s Steve Wyche reports from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta that QB Brian Griese will start for the Bucs against the Falcons. Normal starter Jeff Garcia, who was a game-time decision with a calf injury, was warming up on the field over two hours before the game with coach Jon Gruden. Without Garcia, the Bucs could have either turned to Luke McCown or Griese, who hasn’t played since Oct. 5 with an elbow injury.
