Injured 49ers running back Frank Gore made the trip to Miami, but still remains a game-time decision. Gore injured his ankle against the Jets when a pile of players fell on his leg. Gore was on crutches until Tuesday and did not practice with the team.

The 49ers signed running back Thomas Clayton off the practice squad as added insurance, and designated Arnaz Battle to injured reserve with a foot injury. Read into that what you will, but have a backup plan ready to go. DeShaun Foster is expected to start if Gore can’t make it. But remember, this is a homecoming game for Gore who starred at Coral Gables High School and the University of Miami (right). So he’s going to do everything he can to get on the field.
