Smith, McAllister will play for Saints

New Orleans did not expect to have defensive end Will Smith and running back Deuce McAllister available for today’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Smith and McAllister were two of the players who were suspended for four games for using a banned diuretic that violated the league’s anti-doping policy.
But when federal judge Paul Magnuson issued a temporary restraining order and staved off the suspensions, Smith and McAllister were freed to play vs. the Falcons. And they will.
Smith will start for the Saints and McAllister will play some, a Saints official said Sunday morning. It is quite the continuation of a story that might not end anytime soon.
