Suspended players hit hard in wallet

When the NFL announced six suspensions Tuesday, the Vikings and Saints were hit hardest. But so were the players.

During their four-game suspensions, the players forfeit four paychecks, which amount to some steep penalties.

Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams will lose $941,000 in salary, Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams $235,000, Saints running back Deuce McAllister $500,000, Saints defensive end Charles Grant $187,500, Saints defensive end Will Smith $175,000 and Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman $128,000.

Those are a different kind of tough economic times.
