While sitting in my hotel room in Philadelphia, it’s nice to see that the Tennessee Titans already are feasting.

They are devouring the Detroit Lions, leading 14-3 midway through the first quarter. Now it’s possible the Lions still could make a run at Tennessee and come back, but the more anyone watches Detroit play, the more everyone thinks it is on the brink of a historic 0-16 season.

Times do not get much worse than they are in Detroit. The auto industry is getting crushed and one of the places the area’s people turn to for relief has offered none.
