Marinelli: ‘We got handled’

It certainly couldn’t have been an enjoyable postgame press conference for Lions coach Rod Marinelli, whose team tied a franchise-worst 0-12 start to the season with Thursday’s 47-10 loss to the Titans. The Lions allowed their most points ever on Thanksgiving Day and allowed 30 or more points for the fourth consecutive game in losing for the 18th time in the last 19 games.

Marinelli, who said he would have to look at the game tape to be able to answer if effort was a question, was asked point-blank if he thought he would be fired after the game.

“No, I have no knowledge of any of that,” Marinelli said. “I couldn’t tell you. I just don’t go there.”
