Samuel doubtful for Eagles; Westbrook practices

The Eagles held out CB Asante Samuel for the third consecutive day on Thursday due to a neck injury, and listed him as doubtful for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals.

The news was better regarding RB Brian Westbrook, who is battling a lingering ankle and knee injuires. Westbrook took part in the full practice session on Thursday for the first time this week. His return came a day after saying he expected to play Sunday despite missing practice the previous two days. Westbrook’s availability for the Eagles is key as his primary backup, Correll Buckhalter, is listed as doubtful after missing his third conssecutive practice due to a knee injury he sustained last week.
