Singletary seeks improvement out of 49ers

San Francisco 49ers coach Mike Singletary has seemed to fall under the radar now that he’s no longer sending his enigmatic tight end to the locker room or performing any Coors Light-worthy press conferences. But maybe that is what he wants.
The San Francisco Chronicle‘s Tom FitzGerald writes that Singletary just wants his team to show improvement over their final five games.

The team is 1-3 under Singletary, but it is getting better in some areas. It is cutting down on turnovers, it is getting improved play at quarterback, and its defense generally is solid against the run. But if Sunday’s game had been played at Candlestick Park, Terrell Owens might have danced on the 49ers’ insignia at midfield, the way he famously celebrated on the Dallas star when he was with the 49ers.
