Not only is the Eagles’ psyche damaged, but so are their running backs.

Two days before Philadelphia plays Arizona — when it must control the ball and the clock to keep the Cardinals offense off the field — the Eagles top running backs did not practice.

Brian Westbrook could not go due to knee and ankle injuries that are bothering him more than most people realize. His backup Correll Buckhalter did not practice due to a knee injury.

And cornerback Asante Samuel also has not practiced this week due to a neck injury.

The Eagles face a tall order Thursday night, trying to run down the Cardinals without any healthy top-shelf running backs.
