McNabb still a fantasy option in Week 13

Eagles coach Andy Reid announced at his Monday press conference that Donovan McNabb will be his starting quarterback for Thursday night’s game against Arizona.

McNabb was benched in Baltimore after throwing for 59 yards and committing three turnovers. He scored a putrid minus-4 fantasy points on NFL.com and a has a combined seven points in his last two starts.

But there is a silver lining to all of this negative chatter — McNabb has a very favorable matchup against a Cardinals defense that has allowed more touchdown passes than any other team. Thursday night games have also produced a lot of points this season, so McNabb still has value as a low-end starter in most leagues.

Reid also announced that Brian Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter were both unable to practice Monday. With the quick turnaround this week, the status of both backs could be in question. Fantasy owners need to keep tabs on this situation and be ready to add Lorenzo Booker in a worst-case scenario.
