Giants will start Ward in place of Jacobs

NFL.com senior writer Steve Wyche reports that Giants tailback Derrick Ward will start for Brandon Jacobs, who had been deemed inactive for this afternoon’s game with the Arizona Cardinals. Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, who has been bothered by a hamstring injury, will start for New York.
Jacobs was listed as probable (knee soreness) heading into Sunday’s game at University of Phoenix Stadium.
