Facing former team, Tice surprisingly calm

Jaguars assistant head coach Mike Tice was the Minnesota Vikings’ head coach from 2001-2005. This week, Tice faces his former team for the first time, and he’s not as nervous as he thought he’d be.
Vito Stellino of The Times-Union explains:
- Tice said he’s so focused on just trying to get a victory for the 4-6 Jaguars that he’s not concentrating on the fact the opponent is the Vikings.
- “I said to [my wife] Diane when I got home from work last night that I’m a little surprised I’m not more anxious for this game,” he said. “I really think if it were in a little better situation, it would probably be playing in my mind as being really special. I think just a win is important for us where we’re at.” More
