Burress sits out for Giants; Jacobs limited

A couple of updates out of Giants’ camp:

Wide receiver Plaxico Burress sat out Thursday’s practice with a hamstring problem, a situation that coach Tom Coughlin indicated came about “overnight and into today.” Coughlin didn’t provide an update on Burress’ status.

RB Brandon Jacobs, who confirmed on Wednesday he had no structural damage in his injured left knee, took part in a limited portion of practice on Thursday, along with CB Aaron Ross (calf).

“They practiced limited and apparently did pretty well,” Coughlin said. “Nobody was hampered; nobody had to come out. So I would say they did okay.”
