Morris: 10-0 Titans reminiscent of ’72 Dolphins

Groundhogs typically come out in February, and Mercury Morris typically shows up in November.
Last year it might have been October, when Morris’ message to the then-unbeaten New England Patriots was “don’t call me when you’re in my town, call me when you’re on my block and I see you moving your furniture next door.”
But Morris and his shadow have come out, already proclaiming the 10-0 Titans a worthy unbeaten team.
In what is thought to be the first of what could be many national TV appearances this season, Morris told ESPN that this year’s Titans reminded him of his ’72 Dolphins, a team that nobody believed would be unbeaten early in the season, midway through the season, late in the season and then at the end of the season.
Morris warned everyone last season about the Patriots. But this season he seems to be embracing these Titans.
For the first time, it sounds as if Morris would rather skip spraying the champagne in December or January with his former Dophins teammates and instead use it as a housewarming gift for his potential new neighbors.
