Fantasy owners to lose RB Jacobs?

Brandon Jacobs injured his knee and was forced to miss time in last week’s win over the Ravens. While an MRI taken Monday showed no structural damage, there have been rumors that the Giants could rest him in Week 12. That would be bad news for fantasy leaguers who’ve leaned on him throughout the season.
Jacobs actually suffered a similar injury last season and was forced to miss three games as a result. If the G-Men do in fact decide to rest their workhorse, you’ll have to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
That means adding Derrick Ward or Ahmad Bradshaw off the waiver wire.
Ward would be the favorite to start and the more attractive fantasy back. He showed off his skills as a starter last season, when he ran all over the Chicago Bears with Jacobs on the sidelines. He’s an explosive back and can make an impact. Bradshaw will see his share of the workload and could have some value as well.
Ward is a free agent in 31 percent of NFL.com leagues, while Bradshaw is available in 83 percent of leagues.
