Romo’s return revitalizes Cowboys

The Cowboys backed up owner Jerry Jones‘ claim that his team was going to go to the playoffs — at least for one week — by winning at Washington, 14-10, on Sunday night. The big reason, of course, was the return of quarterback Tony Romo who missed three games with a broken pinkie. Turns out the quarterback position is pretty valuable.
Dallas Morning News columnist Kevin Sherrington says that the return of Romo just wasn’t enough. Rather the big story was the return of the old Romo.

Oh no, dare we say that it looked like Romo was having fun out there, or is it only Brett Favre who is allowed to have all of the fun?
Star-Telegram columnist Clarence E. Hill Jr., however, says that it was more than just Romo who was responsible for keeping the Cowboys’ playoff hopes alive. The defense played a huge part.

Washington Post staff writer Les Carpenter says that the once-certain Redskins’ playoff push is now clouded. The Redskins were 6-2 and looked like a lock. Now, not so much.

Adding the insult to the Cowboys’ victory, the Redskins fans at FedEx Field had to battle an enormous number of boisterous Cowboys fans who gobbled up extra tickets. Don’t the Cowboys have their own stadium?
