The Tampa Tribune is reporting that Earnest Graham will likely miss the rest of the season with an injured ankle. He suffered the ailment in Sunday’s win over the Vikings.
Coach Jon Gruden didn’t confirm the Tribune’s report, but his outlook on Graham sounded bleak when it came up at his Monday press conference.
“It doesn’t look like he will play anytime soon,” Gruden said.
This is potentially huge news for the value of Warrick Dunn, who will take over the starting role in Graham’s absence. Though he is a little long in the tooth, Dunn still has plenty of gas left in his tank.
He showed that in Week 11 with four catches and 118 scrimmage yards against a tough defense.
Dunn, who is available in 46 percent of NFL.com leagues, will be a very hot name on the waiver wire. With Cadillac Williams still unavailable, Dunn would see most of the workload against the Lions in Week 12.
They’re ranked dead last in the league against the pass.
