Action Jackson out in Week 12

Rams coach Jim Haslett has counted out Steven Jackson for this week’s game against Chicago due to a troublesome thigh ailment. It will be the fourth game he’s missed in the last five weeks.
A second opinion on Jackson’s injury confirmed the Rams’ original diagnosis of a strain, and medical personnel felt Jackson needed additional time off to rest.
That means Antonio Pittman will continue to start, so he’s now worth a roster spot in most leagues.
The Rams will also be without OT Orlando Pace, who is out two to four weeks with an injured knee. That’s bad news for both Jackson (if/when he returns) and Marc Bulger, who could be running for his life the rest of the season. The veteran quarterback is no longer worth owning in most fantasy formats.
Bulger could also be without OG Richie Incognito, who was to undergo an MRI for a strained rotator cuff.
