Gore misses second day of practice

Frank Gore missed his second consecutive day of practice because of — what is being listed as — a neck injury. Perhaps Gore, like many fantasy owners, was banging his head into a wall after he was unable to get into the end zone at the end of Monday night’s game.
Actually, Gore told reporters that he suffered a concussion after he collided head-to-head with Cardinals defensive end Chike Okeafor on a block during the final minute of the game. The 49ers believe that he should be ready to go against the Rams.
Fantasy owners are looking forward to Gore taking on the 30th-ranked St. Louis rushing defense, so it would be a big blow if he didn’t play. Fantasy Guru Michael Fabiano listed him as a “must start” in this week’s Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em.
Keep an eye on Gore’s status on Friday and owners might want to bring in DeShaun Foster for a fantasy football workout.
