Saints still waiting as Bush limited in practice

Saints RB Reggie Bush was took part in a limited portion of practice wearing a knee brace on Wednesday, leaving coach Sean Payton in a wait-and-see mode again this week as Bush continues his recovery from knee surgery on Oct. 20.

“I thought he handled the snaps he had today pretty well,” said Payton. “It’s really just a work in progress to see how his knee responds after today’s work and see how it goes tomorrow. But he got a fair amount of reps. He wore a brace today and we’ll see how it responds tomorrow.”

Payton added that he wouldn’t rule out Bush, who has missed the last two games surrounding the Saints’ bye week, from returning punts against the Chiefs.
