Law at least physically ready to play vs. Patriots

Earlier this week, Jets cornerback Ty Law said he expected to play Thursday night vs. the Patriots.
From what Jets coach Eric Mangini said Wednesday, Law certainly is in good enough shape to do it.
Asked how Law looked at practice, Mangini smiled and said: “He looked spry. He got a decent amount of reps. He didn’t seem to be too winded. He has been doing a lot of work, it’s different than the change-of-direction and the football-specific stuff, but considering where he’s starting from, I think we’re very good.”
So Law seems to have conquered some of the physical challenges in his path this week. Now comes the mental challenge of picking up the Jets system and going against the Patriots.
“In terms of the information we have, some of it has new names, but it’s all concepts that he’s been exposed to over time,” Mangini said. “It’s more of an association of, ‘okay, it was called this back in the day, and now it’s called something else.’ “
