Steelers’ rushing attack nearly bankrupt

Close your eyes and think about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ rushing attack. Images of a Hall of Fame running back like Franco Harris, or Pro Bowlers Barry Foster and Jerome Bettis should dance in your head, a dream for Steelers fans. But the current edition of the Steelers — thanks in large part to injuries — has been a nightmare. In fact, the Steelers have not reached 100 rushing yards in the past three games.
Robert Dvorchak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says that Ben Roethlisberger — and his huge contract — get a lot of the scorn in the Steel City. But the lack of a running game is hurting the team.
