No place like home for Saints defense

The Saints were a trendy Super Bowl pick before the season, but are now in last place in the rugged NFC South. A leaky defense is often fingered as the culprit. Jeff Duncan of the Times Picayune says that it’s not just the defense, but the fact that the defense plays so well at home, but poorly on the road.

    Former Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick made an interesting observation before the Saints’ game at Carolina last month. He said the Saints’ defense needed to play well because “they’re not the same defense on the road that they are at home.” MORE
