Law and Revis combine to make the Aliquippa Jets

Now that cornerback Ty Law has signed, it could be the Aliquippa Jets just as easily as the New York Jets.

Both Law and Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis are from Aliquippa, Pa. Revis’ uncle, Sean Gilbert, is close with Law, and Revis grew a similarly close bond.

And Pennsyvania is watching and cheering.

“Aliquippa is going nuts right now,” Revis said. “I got a whole bunch of calls and text messages last night. I talked to (Law) before and he said before he retired he wanted us to play together. I know it means a lot to him and it means a lot to me. It’s memories that we can share and cherish once he’s done.”

And Revis has no questions about whether Law is ready.

“I know he is ready,” Revis said. “Ty has been a hard worker. When I was younger, he used to run on the highway. I worked out with him before so I know what kind of guy he is.”

And now the two Aliquippa guys are ready to join forces.
