49ers’ Bruce defies age

49ers wide receiver Isaac Bruce will turn 36 on Monday, the same day his team takes on the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.

But Daniel Brown of the San Jose Mercury News wonders whether or not to wish San Francisco’s leading receiver a happy birthday come Monday.

“Bruce is approaching the age where receivers not named Jerry Rice tend to run a fade pattern — by fading right out of the NFL” Brown writes. More
