Giants D-coordinator Spagnuolo shows Philly roots

Defensive players on the New York Giants want people to know that they like their
talented defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo…. but not that much.

Ohm Youngmisuk of the Daily News reports that defensive end Justin Tuck and others don’t want to sing Spagnuolo’s praises too loudly, or he might move on sooner than they’d like.

“If the Giants defense continues to stand out the way it has, Spagnuolo won’t be a coordinator much longer,” writes Youngmisuk. “On Sunday night, the spotlight gets a bit brighter as Spagnuolo faces the Eagles, the team he spent eight seasons with as a defensive assistant before joining the Giants last year.” More
