Jackson owners need plan ‘d’ and ‘e’

St. Louis running back Steven Jackson has been a disappointment for owners this season — save one game against the Cowboys when he had like 100 points. And the news has become even worse.
St. Louis could be without Jackson, handcuff Antonio Pittman, his handcuff Brian Leonard and his handcuff Travis Minor. There are rumors that the team could be looking to bring in June Henley and Trung Canidate. Alright, things haven’t quite reached that level, but it’s getting close.
The team could be starting Kenneth Darby and Samkon Gado. Don’t feel bad if you haven’t heard of Darby since his college days at Alabama. Darby was drafted by the Buccaneers and spent most of 2008 on the Falcons practice squad. St. Louis signed him a few weeks ago.
Darby is only a fantasy option for the truly desperate. And even then, it’s a risk. In addition to Darby’s inexperience, the Jets have the fourth-ranked rush defense in the NFL.
