Asked if he was expecting a steady dose of Ryan Torain on Thursday night, Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson said, “Who’s that?”
Torain is the Broncos rookie running back who is expected to start Thursday night. He’s going to get the bulk of the carries for Denver. The Broncos were ultra impressed with Torain throughout training camp and now, with running backs Michael Pittman and Andre Hall placed on injured reserve and Selvin Young nursing a strained groin, Denver has no choice but to lean heavily on Torain.
In a perfect world, the Broncos will get Torain 15-20 carries tonight. Denver believes he will be better tonight than he was Sunday against Miami. He better be. Denver needs him.
And the Browns don’t know him –- yet.
