Payton: ‘Outisde chance’ Bush will play

Saints RB Reggie Bush has not been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Atlanta, even thought he did not practice on Wednesday. New Orleans coach Sean Payton said Wednesday Bush’s rehab of his left knee injury is “going real well” and it was too early to make a decision on his status against the Falcons.

“There’s a chance (Bush could play).” said Payton. “It would be an outside chance, but there’s a chance. We felt back when the surgery was done, based on the doctor’s report that this would be where he was at on the schedule and he has done a good job with the rehab, so I’m encouraged.”

Bush originally injured the knee against the Panthers on Oct. 19 and underwent surgery the following day to repair a meniscus tear.
