Rodgers inks new deal; Campbell next?

Deals usually beget more deals. Aaron Rodgers‘ might not be any different.

Back in the 2005 draft, when Rodgers was the 24th overall selection and quarterback Jason Campbell was the 25th, the two quarterbacks signed identical contracts.

Until he signed his extension Friday, Rodgers’ contract was scheduled to expire after the 2009 season, just like Campbell’s. If Rodgers and Campbell got the same contract the last time, some think they could wind up getting the same contract this time.

But there are those who think Campbell will shoot for the pricier quarterback contracts, like the one Ben Roethlisberger signed with Pittsburgh last offseason.
