Injury round-up: McFadden hurts other toe

Darren McFadden has spent weeks battling a turf toe injury on his right foot and just when he finally got that under control, he suffered a turf toe injury on his left foot. Seriously. A player’s toe injury hasn’t been this funny since Jim Brown was battling bunions in the 1988 classic, I’m Going to Git You Sucka.
Only, it’s not funny, “ha, ha,” it is funny “sad.”
Unless of course, you didn’t draft McFadden on your fantasy team. Then it’s a riot.
McFadden does hope to play against Atlanta this week. But playing him on your fantasy team would be a very risky start. Wait at least another week to see how this plays out, unless you are in a bind.
- Jay Cutler is fine after injuring his finger against the Patriots in Week 7. Cutler smacked his finger on a helmet on the first play of the game, but luckily didn’t break the finger. Cutler was out firing passes in practice on Wednesday and owners should have no problem starting him. Check out the latest quarterback rankings.
- Matt Hasselbeck is going to miss another start, but Mike Holmgren is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yeah, that light is the taillights of your fantasy football team passing you by.
- Aaron Rodgers is still battling a sore right shoulder, but he should be ready to go this week against the undefeated Titans. Rodgers has been on a “pitch” count in practice and could sit out practice on Friday. Still, Rodgers is still a solid play and a Top 10 fantasy quarterback. (Again, check the rankings above.
