Questions have persisted about the Cowboys quarterback position since Tony Romo fractured his pinky during Dallas’ overtime loss to Arizona.
Now there are some answers.
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips confirmed Wednesday that Romo will not play Sunday against the New York Giants and that Romo is expected back after the bye against the Washington Redskins.
Upon being asked if there were any chance Romo would play this week, Phillips said, “No.”
He was nearly as adamant that Brad Johnson will start Sunday, not Brooks Bollinger. Asked how much room Johnson had for error this week before being benched, Phillips said, “I think he has plenty of room. We won the last game and that was important for us. So we will just go from there.”
