St. Louis coach Jim Haslett was “guarded” about the availability of running back Steven Jackson who was limited in Wednesday’s practice. Haslett had been optomistic that Jackson would be on the field when the team plays host to the front-running Cardinals this weekend.
So is it time to go crazy and start scribbling on your dry erase draft board? Probably not. When Haslett says that he is “guarded” about Jackson, that could just be coach-speak for “I’m not tipping my hand.”
Fantasy footballers should certainly be watching this situation closely, but Wednesday is too early to go into panic mode. Still, if you have Jackson on your roster and you have not added Antonio Pittman, then you deserve what you get if somebody else snaps him up.
In other words, pick up Pittman immediately.
