Saints activate Nesbit; Goodwin inactive

The Saints announced a late roster move on Sunday, activating OG Jamar Nesbit and releasing WR Terrance Copper. Starting C Jonathan Goodwin was one of the Saints’ inactives against the Chargers, an indication Nesbit could see time at center.

Nesbit, who was activated to the 53-man roster following a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, started the first three games of the season at left guard but has seen time as a reserve center. The Saints say Nesbit will not start.
