As quarterback Daunte Culpepper ponders his possibilities, he can stop thinking about Denver.
Despite losing veteran backup quarterback Patrick Ramsey to a season-ending injury, the Broncos will not sign Culpepper and instead will promote Darrell Hackney from the practice squad to their 53-man roster.
Should Denver’s starter Jay Cutler get injured, the Broncos would pursue a veteran at that time. But at this one, the plan is to promote from the practice squad.
