In an effort to help you set the best fantasy lineup possible, here are a few interesting trends you might want to consider heading into Week 8.
Brett Favre has thrown one touchdown pass and four interceptions in his last two games. He is 1-3 in his career against the Chiefs with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Thomas Jones had 159 rushing yards in last week’s loss to the Raiders and is averaging 4.4 YPC, his highest total since 2003. Jones had 113 scrimmage yards and one touchdown in his last game against the Chiefs (2007).
Fred Taylor has averaged 154.0 rushing yards in three career games against the Browns. He recorded 100-plus rushing yards in all three games. Overall, Taylor has totaled 462 yards on 79 carries with five touchdowns against them.
Steve Smith has 18 receptions for 330 yards with one touchdown in his last three games. He has 27 receptions for 354 yards with three touchdowns in his last three games against the Cardinals.
Marshawn Lynch does not have a 100-yard game this season, but he did run for 107 yards in his last game against the Dolphins. Lynch’s teammate, Lee Evans, has a touchdown catch in three consecutive games. He also has eight career touchdowns against the Dolphins — the most against any opponent in his career.
Jason Campbell threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns in his last start against the Lions (2007). He is the lone player with at least 30 pass attempts who has yet to throw an interception this season. Campbell has gone 224 straight attempts without an interception — that’s a Redskins franchise record.
Ryan Fitzpatrick’s first career game came against the Texans (2005). Coming off the bench for the Rams, he threw for 310 yards with three touchdowns.
Jamal Lewis has not rushed for 100 yards in a game this season. He does not have a rushing touchdown in five career games against the Jaguars. Lewis averaged just 56.4 rushing YPG in those meetings.
Plaxico Burress has a touchdown catch in three of his last four games. In 30 career games at Heinz Field, he has averaged four catches for 68.5 yards with 13 touchdowns.
Isaac Bruce ranks 4th all-time in receiving yards against the Seahawks with 966 yards in 14 games. He caught four passes for a season-high 153 yards against them in Week 2.
