Gruden talking baseball, not watching it

Anyone attending Thursday night’s Game 2 of the World Series in Tampa would have noticed Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden doing the Rays lineup introduction.

“Yeah, that was neat,” Gruden said. “Glad we won the game. Big Game [James] Shields.”

But nobody should think Gruden didn’t have his sights set squarely on Sunday’s opponent, the Cowboys.

“I got a couple calls, people thought I was at the game,” Gruden said. “No, I was sitting here in the old dark room watching tape.”
