Eagles’ Westbrook frustrated, determined to return

Philly RB Brian Westbrook is frustrated after missing three of the last four games due to ankle and rib injuries, but sounded determined on Wednesday to play when the Eagles return from their bye week to host the Falcons in Week 8.

“I’m going to go out there and play, go out there and give it as much as I have for as long as I can,” Westbrook said during his media session.

Westbrook suffered an ankle injury in Week 3 against Pittsburgh and missed the following game, only to return and suffer two broken ribs against the Redskins in Week 5, which forced him to sit out against the 49ers. The Eagles were on bye last week.

“I’m tired of being injured, tired of being in the training room,” said Wesbrook. “I’m still fighting, I’m still trying everything I can do to get out there and help my team.”
