One day after doctors removed the wiring from Anquan Boldin’s jaw, the Cardinals Pro-Bowl wide receiver returned to practice Wednesday.
Now, barring an unexpected setback in practice this week, Boldin is expected to play Sunday at Carolina against the Panthers. Boldin wants to play. There are questions about how he will feel after going through practice, what his comfort level will be.
But for now, he feels sufficiently recovered from his concussion, two facial fractures and the surgery he had to install eight plates in his jaw. Without Boldin, the Cardinals posted a 2-0 record. But Arizona wants him back for Sunday — and expects he will be back.
