NFC East piling on the Cowboys

It has gotten to the point where teams in the Cowboys division — specifically opposing GMs — now are taking shots at the pinata in Dallas.

When the Eagles website asked Philadelphia general manager Joe Banner about the trade that brought wide receiver Roy Williams to Dallas, the response was as stinging as it was surprising.

“I mean, they paid a lot,” said Banner. “I wouldn’t pay that much for a player like that.”

But then the Eagles’ approach is different than the Cowboys.

“Our goal is to win a Super Bowl, forget win a playoff game, which is something they are still working on,” Banner said.
