Rams RB Jackson, DT Carriker injured in win

The St. Louis Rams exited Sunday’s 34-14 win over the Cowboys with injuries to RB Steven Jackson and DT Adam Carriker. Rams coach Jim Haslett said during his postgame news conference it’s too early to tell the severity of either injury.

Jackson sustained a thigh injury and is scheduled to have an MRI exam on Monday morning.

“It is just a little bruise,” said Jackson, who rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns. “We are going to do some more tests and have an MRI in the morning just to make sure. It is just a little tight but I am able to walk and move it so that is a good sign they said.”

Haslett said Carriker twisted an ankle, and was held out of the second half.

“We will see how he feels, he was in pain on the field and with the lead we just held him,” said Haslett. “Hopefully he will be day-to-day also.”
